Don’t Just Pray For More Laborers – Join the Laborer Force (Matthew 9:37-38)
As we reflectively anticipate the approaching of the season where we remember the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), I want to implore you to win the lost. “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” Mark 16:15. The harvest is indeed plenty and laborers are still few; yes, we are to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more laborers into the field but we must also join the labor force.
God’s desire is that we grow numerically and spiritually. Our desire should be to join God in accomplishing His desire as in the long run it will be to our benefit.
At Church on the Rock, we believe that God wants us to grow primarily by TRANSFORMATION – people’s lives being transformed, that is, being born again, moving from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of God’s glorious light. Our target is the unsaved; not people TRANSFERRING from another church to Church on the Rock.
This year we believe that God wants us to surpass 400 committed members and regular attendees. You can be involved in this by inviting people to Christ and to church especially during the season when we remember His life laid down for ours. You can also invest in meaningful relationships so that by your words and your deeds someone may come know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Get engaged in God’s vision for this house. We can change Jamaica by joining God in changing people’s lives.
