Deuteronomy 11:12 (NKJV) A land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
Looking ahead into 2016, are you dependent on man, or God? There is a story of a ship that daily sailed the high seas. On several occasions someone would go overboard. Quickly a person would jump over to save this drowning sailor. Each time though, both would almost drown. Then suddenly when the two had almost stopped fighting and kicking, this wise sailor would jump overboard and save them both. Mark 11:22-24 (Amp) Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God [constantly]. 23 Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. As we look ahead to another year, God’s word gives us a glimpse into some of the wonderful things He has in store for us.
God wants me to remind you that as another year comes, it offers you a fresh start. You are about to enter a year where God promises you everything you need to succeed! It’s time for you to close the door of the past and move forward!
Isaiah 54:1-2 (AMP) SING, O barren one, you who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child! For the [spiritual] children of the desolate one will be more than the children of the married wife, says the Lord. 2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. The land ahead is not flat and monotonous. It’s a land of hills and valleys; and you need both! This year you will have to climb some mountains; you will need to endure to make it to the top. The views will be breathtaking and the rewards will be great. This year you will have to go through some valleys, and deal with pain and loss, but ‘there’ you will drink from God’s sweetest streams.
There, you will understand, Psalm 23:1-6. No matter what lies ahead this year, He’ll be with you every day. Remember, Deuteronomy 11:12 God’s eyes are continually on the land from the beginning till the end.
